Super High Five at Del Mar…

For those of you listening to me in the morning on Ralph Siraco’s Race Day Las Vegas or who simply pick up the Power Pages or the Power Page-PLUS…  might be aware that I tabbed the Super High Five at Del Mar in their 8th race…   I didn’t get it with my KEY horse winning, but with my Key horse getting beat at the wire, but holding on to the PLACE!

The Play I gave out was the #5 (Halo Ahead) 0ver the 1,3,4,7,14 and reverse!  But before we go on, I want to make a few things clear… The next time I play a Super High Five, will be my 1st time playing a super high five.  To properly play, the opening wager would have to be 240 combinations… 1 over 5x4x3x2 and 5 over 1 over 4x3x2 for those of you who understand the math… if you do not understand the math, send me an e-mail and I will get you a proper explanation.  Total play would be 120 combinations with the #5 horse (Halo Ahead) in the first position and another 120 combinations with the #5 horse (Halo Ahead) in the 2nd position…

In fact, it was a long time before I expanded to trifectas from just exactas and an even longer period before I was willing to play superfectas.  But who am I to say, someone should or should not attempt the Super High Five… and as it happens I gave out the play today as #5 (Halo Ahead) 0ver the 1,3,4,7,14 and reverse!   The way it came in, the #1 R Sunday Surprise snuck up the rail to win by a long head, #5 Halo Ahead, held second from #14 Promnesia , #3 Speakers, #4 Zillinda and #7 Chistiana’s Song coming in 6th… That’s right the 6 numbers in my play came in 1,2,3,4,5 & 6… So that ‘s pretty good.. and for those who took on the 240 combination wager, the payoff was decent at $6,229.10 for a $1.00 ticket…

Also, I do want to mention, that both #5 Halo Ahead and #14 Promnesia (off at 15/1) were the only two STAR horses in the race… and for those who boxed the two STAR horse with the Field in trifecta, this is only a 48 combination wager  — The Trifecta paid $510.90/$1.00 ticket (this was one of my favorite opening types of play)….  they ran 2nd and 3rd, but in a trifecta box, that is perfect, if you have them in a BOX-WHEEL…

I thought this was all fun… and I told everyone who would listen, I am zooming in on tricky Del Mar…
