Sunday’s (1-8-2018) Power Page and PLUS for Gulfstream and Santa Anita are ready for download…

Gulfstream Park has a nearly $1,300,000.00 Rainbow Payoff on their Pick 6 for tomorrow…  It has to make some sense to take some shot at this – or am I crazy!

We are offering Gulfstream Park today, along with our normal Santa Anita JJPPs.   The Gulfstream is a FULL product offering, both the PLUS and the Classic…

To order Gulfstream, please use the New York purchase buttons, the product will come through as Gulfstream…

 “Race Day Las Vegas” Plays

Monday… New Years day saw us start with a beautiful wire to wire winner at Gulfstream. We had a “1” early speed alert here and he showed it on the track, making every pole a winning one.  The price was square with a $6.00 win price!

At Santa Anita, Be Mine was off at 9/2 and had decent position at the back of the pack and moved up nicely on the backstretch, then was poised outside horses to make a run, but the run was very pedestrian.  He may have been a little against the grain, as rail runners have been prospering on the turf, but hewas pretty empty in the lane…  I wouldn’t be following this one based upon the visual, but will fully evaluate when I see the figs…but I would summarize as “disappointing”.

Thursday at Gulfstream,

In race #1 Paddy Point, off at 3/1, (which was a little low), ran along well place and saving ground through the first turn, was switched outside on the backstretch, FOR NO OBVIOUS REASON, then commenced to rally 3 wide through the far turn, also for NO OBVIOUS REASON again… and hung late, holding the show…  This was a STUPID ride in my point of view, there was simply no reason to switch this horse off the rail… On the rail the horse would have surely been no worse than 2nd money… REALLY ANNOYING bad jockey tactics…

Then in Race #4, Townie off at 7/1, was fast early, fast middle and very fast in the lane, reporting home an open length winner at a $16.00 win price.  No Exacta – not necessary.

Friday’s

At Gulfstream Park in the 4th I tabbed Glorious Moment off at 5/2 ( The M/L was a ridiculous 10/1) … GM moved alertly out of the gate to secure the lead, was met mid-turn with a severe challenge from the chalk, was back in 2nd by ½ length, then re-rallied at the 3/16th pole to pull even and then take a lead, then had just enough to withstand a furious rally from the ultimate 2nd place finisher.  It was a true Glorious Moment when the photo showed us as winner… paying $7.00 with an exacta and trifecta…

At Santa Anita, in Race #1, Lady Ninja off at 3/1 – off well and racing in and behind the leaders, saved every inch of ground, forced her way out in the stretch to commence a rally, going nicely at the end, but the recipient of a poor finish from the leader – who clearly tired while hanging on her wrong lead…  Lady Ninja got the win, with a $8.20 win price and we took the exacta and trifecta…

Saturday’s

At Gulfstream, Andina Del Sur off at little shy in price at only 5/2, broke alertly and moved over to save a little ground in the first turn will sitting 5th off the lead by a 4 or 5 lengths.  From there had a choice to move to the inside and save ground or move outside horses on the far turn, Joel chose to move outside (which was a mistake on today’s turf course) and moved nicely but didn’t quite have the necessary punch – but raced on well for 3rd… both horses that beat Andina saved ground, however, this race should move here along in her form… I think we might want to follow… got the show!

At Santa Anita, Itsinthepost…  this one was easy, he took a safe route running outside horses, and then demolished the field with a breakaway run at the top of the stretch, then simply coasted in…astonishing win price of $6.60 (about aa 100% premium in my opinion) and we made the exacta…pretty good!
