Gamine just ain’t that good…
The Kentucky Oaks came and went with a giant Thud! She had very easy fractions, but couldn’t run away when asked and was consumed through the lane. One observation was that she wouldn’t change leads… and was trying to get out on the backstretch, while having very pedestrian fractions. This might indicate she couldn’t get comfortable at Churchill Downs or that maybe there is a injury that is very hard to find. Or that she just wasn’t sharp today. But now we have to consider her distance limited and any comparison I made to Personal Ensign, Rachel Alexandra, Zenyatta or Ruffian was WAY WRONG… or OVERLY HOPEFUL… hey, let’s leave it as WAY WRONG!
