Great runs by Tizway and Flat out heralded real quality in the Whitney.  Nice run by Turbulent Descent taking the Test Stakes, but the competition was a bit lackluster.  While in So. Cal, we saw and excellent edition of the Clement L Hirsch – just as long as you didn’t have an attachment to the poor run by Switch.  Zazu raced well, but couldn’t out-close the final run of Ultra Blend who ran to her max.   No complaints on Zazu, she got to save the ground and the inside a good spot on yesterday’s Del Mar track, but Ultra got to run full while Zazu was waiting for some racing room.    As long as we area talking biases, the rail at Saratoga was just plain slow all day,  even though the winner of the final race came up the rail in a super huge effort!

Star horses return to their winning form, returning $48.40 on a cost of $only $22.00.
