No wisdom or knowledge required, just a simple consistent – mindless wagering on the STAR horse. Considering that September was about the best month the Power Page has ever had for STAR horses, one might say I am really hitting my stride. But I would say, I have been hitting the stride for 15 years. I feel comfortable saying these results stand by themselves…
I am working on the Video Package for the Breeders’ Cup, there will be video covering both days. The big discussion is the running of the 2 year olds without Lasix. Maybe the right idea is not to run the 2 year olds in this the BC. It just seems that excelling in the BC for 2 year olds indicates a shorter career – see Uncle Mo and just about every other 2 year old winner of the Juvy for Colts races — as an example.
Tomorrow’s card at Belmont has been handicapped for a WET Main track for All races. The forecast was 90% for rain on Thursday night and that again 90% for rain all day on Friday. We shall see, but in any case, I am expecting the Turf races to be moved to the main track and have handicapped accordingly.
