Thursday’s play…My Anguilla off at 7/1 ran a solid 3rd.  Off the layoff she wasn’t fit enough to win with the pressing trip.  Unfortunately, she couldn’t clear for the needed easy lead, but at 7/1 it feels like we were playing with an advantage…All things considered I would take that situation at those odds as often as I could find them… 

ROI return =$12.10 / $18.00 is the cost…The ROI  remains a slightly negative – all we need is a 9.00 horse to be on plus street.

Santa Anita Race #3…  Shelter Island was caught up behind very slow fractions and tried to make up ground into a 23+ final quarter, it just wasn’t going to happen.  Today’s morning line of 4/1 and the anticipated pace provided by Candy Arches and General dan, we should be able to gobble up lots of ground in the stretch and get the money…Actually, I think 5/2 is fair…enough said…good luck.
