Posting for the Belmont is now complete, but the day to day of the Belmont continues. By now I am sure that everyone has heard that the wonderful racehorse, I’ll Have Another has scratched from this years Belmont. According to Trainer O’Neill he has the beginning of tendinitis in the left foreleg, according to the DRF. It goes to show, that the Triple Crown as a whole is the challenge, even more than the many talented horses that have faced up against I’ll Have Another and who have faced up against all the potential TC champions over the years. Once again, the best horse cannot win the Belmont and carry the crown worn by Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed (and Alydar), Citation and all the rest who did manage to take on all comers and take on the biggest challenge, racing well to excellent in all three of these grueling events…
A special note of thanks to an old friend at this time, Lee Munser who did some great editing on my articles for Sportsbook.com on Affirmed and Alydar…Thanks Lee
