The inner track at Aqueduct remained balanced, yielding very honest results. Interestingly, the Power Page at Aqueduct (and BF-Hollywood) were spot on. Here is what I mean , if you wagered $2.00 on each Top Rated horse, you would have wagered a total of $18.00 and earned a total return of $24.10, nice profit of $6.10 or an ROI fo 1.34 per $1.00 wagered. How about this, if you just wagered on the “Early Speed Indicator”, you had just 3 total with 1 winner and 1 place out of the 3. In this case you would have won $4.40 on Alfa Zumba but suffered a small lost at Aqueduct (Stay tuned for BF-Hollywood)… Star horse at Aqueduct were 0 for 3. Top rated horses ran 1st or 2nd in 8 of 9 races at The Big A and if you boxed the top 3 horses in each race, you would have won 5 out of 8 plays, the 4th race had too many first time starters to be included in this stat.
No let’s go to Hollywood — we had 1 STAR horse which returned $9.00 so by adding this one to the Aqueduct, we end up with a cost of $8.00 and a return of $9.00, so again we turn a profit. IF we bet each and every top rated horse at Hollywood, we would have won a total of $16.80 at a cost of $16.00 and if we bet each horse with an Early Speed Indicator we would have won $12.00 at a cost of $4.00.
So lets do the totals at both tracks for yesterday’s racing. Totals on Top Rated horses is $40.90 in winnings at a cost of $34.00 (ROI of $1.20 per $1.00), STAR horses $9.00 in winning at a cost of $8.00 (ROI of $1.125), Early Speed Indicator had a total winning of $16.40 at a cost of $10.00 (ROI of $1.64)
That what I mean when I say the Power Page’s were SPOT ON on Thursday… Oh yeah and my Race Day Play at Aqueduct won paying $13.80 to win with a $43.00 exacta — that too…
