Day #1 at Del Mar is in our back pocket! For Power Page users, the first half of the card was a bit difficult, but from the 5th race on, everything made pretty good sense and there was enough distinct types of plays to keep the wolf off the door, especially the final race when our top two ran 2nd and 1st to make an excellent exacta. Gervinho was my only TOP-RATED STAR horse and he was a good winner paying $7.80, which seemed square to me. The exacta in the 6th was filled out with one of our “speed” types that was cleverly ridden by Julien Leparoux, getting this horse ro relax off the pace and finish very fast at double digits odds to make a super exacta.
