As we look backward to last weekend and forward to the Breeders Cup, Mucho Macho Man catches the eye at this time . His races earlier in the season were a little “backward”, with slowish finishes in below his best figs. Considering his 82.8 that he ran — while finishing 2nd while Fort Larned had the perfect trip– in last years BC Classic — has left us wanting bigger and better from MMM. The point is, that he has finally run to his ability and he certainly does like the Santa Anita strip, just as he loves the Belmont Main Track. The big question now, is this a signal of a return to form, or is this a damaged horse that put together one big race and is a likely to a backward race in his next… It’s not exactly clear, but what is clear is this horse has major talents and many concerns…
