We are back on the turf at Del Mar today…  Hopefully, the proper steps have been taken to make the surface safe for out gallant racers and fearless riders….  We were made keenly aware of what’s at stake to make this game available to us on a regular basis.  I think I speak for most everyone, when I say, we don’t mind a proper “take” so long as the racing is run at it’s safest…  We can cash tickets equal well if the time is 1:09 or 1:12….  Who cares what the clocking is, so long as the surface is as safe as safe can be…

I want to add, that I am no expert in the subject of how to make a track safe and offer no advise other than to seek and employ the advise of those who actually know.  And to fire those who allowed this to occur,   I repeat my Monday opine – which is just below and really brief – but on point.

We should be back on the Turf at Saratoga as well, the course should be Good and provide a great surface to enjoy our equine athletes (just as it always has).
