Del Mar enters Day 2.  Saratoga starts tomorrow!

Opening day at Del Mar was a card of competitive races, but was dominated by Doug O’Neill, he didn’t notice how competitive the races were – he just put out super-ready horses who performed!  I think he had a total of 4 winners and Jerry Hollendorfer had 3 winners.  Including Million Dollar baby Brill.  Brill won well while well place throughout, closing with a nice rush.  It is important to note, that the inside on the DIRT might have been a little slow.   I thought being off the rail was a slight advantage!  So horses like Brill, might have looked a little better than he actually was.  But I am sure he will get better with more racing, at least that’s the way it looks.
