Aqueduct will be FAST. Santa Anita will be in a “drying out stage”, probably starting at Muddy and moving to GOOD and Harrowed at some point. As for the two Turf Races, I handicapped the first race for the Yielding Turf. But I handicapped the 6th, scheduled for the downhill Turf course, for the Main Track. It’s tough to expect the main track to be FAST and thereby allow them to remain on that course.
Daily Bias Report…
Aqueduct …(1-13-2016)… Early Speed and Inside dominated today’s card at the Big A.
Santa Anita …(1-13-2017) … Seemed good inside and out, and there were plenty of fast moving closing efforts in the stretch, HONEST!
Race Day Las Vegas Section
Thursday
Aqueduct… Race #2 Onecats Chance off at 9/2… taken well in hand after a bumpy start, found a place to run and run he did, winning off as much the best…the win price was $11.20, the exacta was NOT made…
Santa Anita… scratched…
Friday
Aqueduct… Race #7 Gorgous Charli off at 6/1… Broke alertly and tried hard for the lead but was outfooted by Mewannarose – the eventual winner – continued on in the chasing position and tired in the stretch… classified as “outrun speed”, tab going forward.
Santa Anita… Race #2 Afleet Domination off at 7/2… Broke in stride moved up along the outside to gallop up to the leaders on the backstretch, then was briefly outrun in the far turn, rallied well – while out in the middle of the track, to easily get 2nd without threatening the runaway winner… Got the place and we took all the exotics with our spread…
