It’s time to remember our great forefathers, George and Abe.   I have to mention, that htis past year, my wife and I went to Mount Vernon to visit the home of our first President.  After seeing how 3rd rate people lavished wealth upon themselves in Europe, I was in awe of George Washington’a humble and balanced home.  This of course was the man – he is the ONLY man in  history to turn over his power and the power of  his  position to his country.   AT that amazing time, he was asked to become our first King and instead he determined to have an election for the next president.  It was the first peaceful passing of power in history!  And then, on the same trip, we stopped in Gettysburg to pay respects to the embattled and to the great poet president – Abe Lincoln.  He  was a pragmatic politician that managed to maneuver his adversaries to “do the right thing”.  What a country that can produce two such magnificent men.
