Friday’s (10-14-2016) Power Page and PLUS are now ready for download…

Stellar Wind has now developed into a Monster Mare.  She has just run two consecutive 80+ figures to beat Beholder twice in a row.  This is a most interesting development, many pundits are wondering if Beholder has soured?  As I said on RaceDay Las Vegas, I would say that Beholder ran 3 strong races in succession, only to face an awesome Califonia Chrome and then a STELLER mare in Stellar Wind.

So what does it all mean?

We are going to have to consider whether or not SW can throw down two lifetime best efforts — “paired lifetime tops” — and have an another one to deliver on BC day?  It’s actually a pretty big “ask”.

Has Beholder soured?

Not yet, she just is a touch less great than SW right now.

Will Beholder sour, after 3 consecutive hard efforts with only 2nd place to show?

Maybe or maybe not, she has always been a tough customer…

Is there an alternative to these two?

Another great question we can all consider on BC day!  I will be discussing this at Fiesta on Thursday, Sam’s Town on Friday afternoon and in my major seminar on Friday night at Texas Station…

Final results for all categories at the Saratoga and Del Mar meets combined?

(Star horses have been a hallmark of my products since 1998 and appear on the JJPP-Classic and JJPP-Plus)

Total STAR horses = 213…. Total $$$ won (if you bet $2.00 on each one ) = $614.00… Cost is only $426.00… Profit of $188.00…

ROI is $1.44 per $1.00 played…

For TOP-RATED horses on the JJPP-PLUS for both Del Mar and Saratoga — a $2.00 win bet on every TOP RATED horse   since the beginning of both meets, BET THEM ALL, thru today — you would have won $1,330.20 at a cost of only $1,346.00.

The ROI is a positive $.99 per $1.00 wagered

For TOP-RATED horses on the Classic JJPP for both Del Mar and Saratoga — a $2.00 win bet on every TOP RATED horse since the beginning of both meets, BET THEM ALL, thru today — you would have won $1,256.90 at a cost of only $1,252.00.

(In this tabulation I do not include races with greater  than 1/3 of the  field are first time starters, unless the TOP Rated horse is a STAR horse) ( I do not include Turf races that have been transferred to the Main track, the one exception is a Top Rated horse with a STAR).

The ROI is a positive $1.003 per $1.00 wagered

(All updates  include all races for both meets from 7-15-2016 to 9-5-2016)

With the JJPPs, when it’s our turn to win, we simply do not miss — no zig — no zag!

Belmont  (10-13-2016) The Rail was definitely SLOW on the Main Track.  On both Turf courses, the RAIL was SLOW!

Santa Anita

Race Day Las Vegas Section —

THURSDAY

Belmont… Race #4  Nonna’s Boy  off at 2/1… Dueled early on — in the better footing — tired at the top of the lane.  Not impressive.

Belmont… Race #8 Fear off at 6/1… Dueled near the lead, took on all comer’s but tired with a furlong to go, good effort, but certainly not a great effort…

Total Return     $781.40

Total  Cost          $ 730.00

ROI 1.07  per $1.00 played…

I am posting early — Updates to follow later… please scroll down for todays…

Thursday’s (10-13-2016) Power Page and PLUS for Belmont are ready for download…

Yellow Agate impressed in the Frizette with a determined move, to get up in the shadow of the wire…

While both Practical Joke and Syndergaard ran a Champagne we should all remember for years to come, as Syndergaard set hot fractions under pressure and Practical Joke (joked around at the break), both overcame the difficulties of their trip to put on a show in the stretch…  I actually don’t think there was a actual winner, there was as finish line, but these too colts were still locked in battle and taking on down the road… Just great stuff…as these colts were about 1 second faster than Yellow Agate…

Lady Eli showed no ill effects from her layoff met with a strong effort at the Spa.  Today, she moved like a really – really – really good filly, which is what everyone expected.  I think she faced as much competition as she will face in the BC… We shall see…

Anchor Down, just bottom out his field…

And Hopportunity, was sensational, handled beautifully by JR and he ran on nicely through the lane to defeat a very good horse in Effinex.  AS I mentioned on the RaceDay Las Vegas show, he is showing more ability to attend a pace… this is a sure sign he is developing nicely right now! (This was a STAR horse on our JJPP’s)

Vyjack, participated in my coast to coast switcheroo… by winning well in the City of Hope Mile and setting a track record.  This STAR horse was just great and D’Amato has to decide whether to run him on the BC Dirt or Turf at the 1 mile distance…

Race Day Las Vegas Section —

Sunday

Belmont… Race #2  Frazil  off at 2/1… Raced along in close enough contact, came home  with some interest but only managed to finish midpack.

Santa Anita… Race #5 …  Queen Be To You off at 5/2broke a step slow, but moved up into contention along the rail.  Looked full of run, now looked for racing room, but did not find it… Wheel to the outside and finished full of run to get the place… Clearly this was a winner with fair racing luck…  we hit the exacta and trifecta.

Total Return     $781.40

Total  Cost          $ 726.00

ROI 1.07  per $1.00 played…
