WE are off at the Inner and on the first day we might suspect that the inside part of the track was a little bit slow.  And winter racing continues on the WEST Coast at Los Alamitos.  This could be a terrific little meet that will be a great setup for Santa Anita’s return later on in December.

I handicapped the Los Alamitos for a FAST Main track, but it will probably be a WET surface, so you will have to adjust the “m” and “M” horses up from 1 to 4 points…

Winter racing arrives at Aqueduct.  Here is my take on the track, if the temperature stays above 35 degrees, it will play similarly to the Aqueduct Main Track – at least as far as surface preference is concerned.  But once they have a cold snap, after that, the for form of the horses who raced well at Aqueduct are not as good as the horses who have raced well at Belmont!   This might be for other reasons than simple track preference .  It’s very clear to me that once we have cold weather the Inner Dirt track will change it’s personality…
