So how do we handle changing conditions?  My answer is , “I think we handle the changing conditions correctly!”   It is also true, that you will not be able to use Turf numbers for races moved to the Main Track.  And it’s also true that we will not have numbers for Main Track Only horses…

But here is what you did get from the Power Page on Thursday — In Race # 1 – the only “m” horse ran 2nd, in Race #3, the only “p” horse ran 2nd, in the 4th race the ONLY TWO “P” horses ran 1 & 2 for a cold exacta…  and in the 5th race, their were 2 “p” horses and one of them ran 2nd.  I am not going to talk about the other races which were Turf races taht moved to the Main track and truly were a bunch of weak races – for exampe the 6th race was reduced to only 3 runners…

So there it is, the Power Page put a laser like focus on serious contenders in 4 out of 4 races — and depending on how you wagered, you should have had a PLUS Experience….

Tomorrow’s Power Page is assuming a WET but drying Main Track and a Yielding Turf course…

A Happy and Healthy  New Year To all our friends who celebrate Rosh Hashanah.

Now for a touch of business, it is the policy to handicap all races — AS THEY ARE CARDED – until we have actual knowledge of rain hitting the ground.   Many times we have reacted to a forecast of rain that stated it was 100% to rain, so I handicapped races carded for the Turf on to the dirt — only to find the rain missed the track.  So it is best if we just  handicap as carded and you can take note of our “p” and “m” horses if the races come off the grass courses…
