Playing the Power Page is often very rewarding and it certainly was that on Saturday at Saratoga…  In the featured Alabama, Stopchargingmaria went off at EVEN money — while the Power Page users understood the Stopchargingmaria was very fast, she was a terrible bet – while Joint Venture was an absolute standout wager as a solo STAR horse at 24/1.   Numerous players with the Power Page played the win/place wager on Joint Venture and then made a strong exacta with STopchargingmaria and came up with a huge exacta of $82.00 for a $2.00 exacta wager….

There were many other easy to find plays at both Saratoga and Del Mar including the the fine exactas of Mish Mosh and Thomas Hill in the 2nd at Saratoga and then then later on at Del Mar in the 2nd, the really nice exacta from CO-TOP RATED horses of Sistas Stroll (selected by Jon Lindo) and Magnificent Shirl (who had a STAR and was my preferred horse).  Whatever, the exacta is always played two ways and that leads to a one-way trip to the cashier’s window….

Orino, my top rated horse in the 9th at Saratoga and my selection on Race Day was a prompt winner at $7.10, — this price was a little tight…

So for those of you who have been following Ralph Siraco’s Race Day Las Vegas radio show and heard our opines on the Steward’s follies at Del Mar this past few days — I just wish to state once again, that the management in charge are simply terrible.   They couldn’t get the turf course correct, they couldn’t get the wax on the main track right and now with the need to get a temporary steward, they put up a guy who does not appear to be steward material to me.  First of all, because he is one of us, a player… and a player just can’t be the guy educating the play… at least that is my opinion…

For the record, I like Vic as a race announcer and think he does a very professional job of calling races….
