The Power Page at New York was IN SYNC on Thursday with the racing at the Big A.   with Top Rated horses running 1st or 2nd in 6 of the 9 races.  The Only STAR rated horse – who was ranked 2nd — won and one of the harder plays of the day was denoted with an Early Speed mark .

I have received a few “comments” on my NOT DOING A Triple Crown Presentation this season.  But I am actually doing quite a bit – starting with the Kentucky Derby, I will be co-hosting with Ralph Siraco at Sunset STation on Friday – May 2nd at 5:00 PM (in the Race Book).  And of course I will be publishing a Power Page for the Kentucky Derby and it will have much commentary.  So if you like hanging with me for the KD, I still will be right there and you will get plenty of information and my insights…  IF you are out of town, no worries, the Power Page will have plenty to support good handicapping…

Wednesday’s Main Track at Aqueduct were decided largely based on who was racing WITH THE BIAS.  The bias of the track favored horses on the inside and that almost always favors Early Speed types because they do manage to get to the inside — eventually.  But it’s key to note that there were several closers that did quite well, by staying on the rail as long as possible – then finding a spot to race in the stretch…
