Friday’s (5-3-2013) Power Page and KHSS for Belmont and BF-Hollywood are read for download…

While we I am focusing much energy on The Kentucky Derby, it’s important for the Power Page to be on point! If you wagered $2.00 on every top-rated horse your cost was $34.00 and your return was $60.60 in winnings!

Some good fortune on the Derby Post Position draw, none of the 13 really good horses that are entered got stuck in the 1 or 2 post position… Revolutionary will be a little challenged in the 3 post, but if there isn’t a major backup in the early going and Revolutionary remains willing to be held, he should be okay. I know many people are a little concerned over the outside 5 post positions, but to me they are just fine, especially if the horse is will to be taken back. The ones I worry about are those that have just enough early speed to get them into WIDE-trouble in the first turn… I’m pretty certain that Rosario on Orb and Leparoux on Java’s War and Gomez on Vyjack will find there way to decent position — but there are still 20 horses out there, so there is always a chance at trouble…

MY KD Seminar will continue on Friday with several videos that will represent the core of Seminar…

Churchill Downs:

With all the management involved at Churchill Downs, they managed to get Fear The Kitten on the AE and get ORB to nearly loose it while schooling.   I need not say anything about the Fear The Kitten thing, it just one of those things that they couldn’t get right, but it’s not their fault.   As for ORB, there is no excuse for a Race Track that is housing 40 of the very best horses, all worth millions, to allow a worker to be running a motor in and among the population of high-strung race horses without proper supervision and control.   Here is the real problem, after ORB got spooked, he was kicking in the stall really hard, hopefully there is no injury, but if there is one, it might not show readily…  It’s actually something of concern, no matter what anyone says, because no one will know for certain, even Shug!  That is correct, the smallest of injuries to ORB’s hooves or ankles could not or might not be visible until the races is actually run…  Micro tears do not always cause inflammation right away, sometimes they need additional stress later on, to start rearing their ugly signs — later on might be turning for home…

There is no promotion they are running that is worth getting horse, rider or trainer injured!

I had an interesting question about the online seminars I am doing, they are not something you need to attend at a particular time.  Everything is posted as it’s done and stays up — so you can view everything in your own time…
