The change to the main track after the early deluge destroyed the racing on Sunday, however for those that were patient and used teh “p” an d”m” horses with some skill were pointed in the right direction on several cases, with hte best play coming on Mary P, Jones running a game 2nd at a double digit odds prixe of 11.40 to 1.00. The winner was a crazy long-shot in Purely Majestic – a good randomm long to use in the exotic spread. What’s cool about the P and M horses, there aren’t 10 in every 12 horse race, but usually on 1 or two, so you get a definate opinion and some real direction… Anyway, I love making the Power Pages and I can always see too in them and I think that comes thru when I don the Video Handicapping…Jerry

As for today’s racing, we witnessed a very poor finish from Switch in the stretch at Del Mar.  This once proud mare who ran Zenyatta to within an inch of her life at 1 1/16, was totally empty when sitting on a very nice lead turning for home.   That’s horse racing, I wonder out loud if this terrific mare is ready to be retired.  Saratoga is starting to turn our way, which is normal for this meet.  Ron The Greek was very good, but I felt s little surprised by Fort Larned – still…
