One would not have loved the results from Gulfstream Park and the play at Aqueduct was just so-so on Saturday… but the play – with either the Power Page or Power Page-Plus was fabulous on Saturday. We had two STAR horses that anchored the program in the 2nd and the 7th races today, that produced 2 beautiful winners. In the 2nd race Silken Prince rallied from last to win going away, while paying $13.40 for the win mutual. Then in the 7th race, Ce Ce won in a true Tour d’Force outing and paid a whopping $10.40. As many of you know, I gave this filly out on Race Day Las Vegas and said. “this is the best play I found on any card for the entire day!” Strong words were supported by a strong performance and an overlay price.
AS a final work, there were only 4 STAR horses at Santa Anita… producing 2 winners and 1 show for the 3 potential play. And that’s the point, we don’t have to invest in every race, we have to invest in just the situations that give us the best chance to make a profit. So LESS is MORE, especially in horse racing… LESS waste and MORE focused energy on our best plays!
