Friday’s (4-13-2018) Power Page and PLUS for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

The list below is simply a static list based upon the SPEED FIG that each horse has registered on my Jerry J’s Fabulous Figs, with the year they achieved the FIG.  In the case of Bolt d’Oro, his best Fig was achieved as a 2-year old, so he is now demoted to his best 3-year old level, but I still want everyone to be aware of his fabulous 2-year old number/achievement.  Please keep in mind, simply knowing who has run the fastest race – in this case or in any case – does not qualify as a betting idea.  It’s just one piece of information we use to build a betting model.  Many of my best plays are against the horse who as run the fastest race.  It’s very hard to repeat big efforts… and these horses all – run big efforts!

“Race Day Las Vegas” Plays

I didn’t post from 3/30 through 4/8… during that period I had a bit of a tough run, with $24.00 in plays and only $7.40 returned from our winners… definitely a weak period!  Now it’s time to get back to winning.

Thursday

Race #5 at Aqueduct…. saw our Featured Play, My Bronx Tail get crazy and ultimately scratched…  no harm, not foul…

Race #7 at Aqueduct…A True Giant, off at 5/1, broke sharply, taking the early lead and holding sway for the win… exacta and trifecta filled… the win money was a solid $12.40.

Race #7 at Aqueduct… My Lightnin Strike, off at 5/1, attended the pace, but could not mount a sufficient charge and after moving up to 3rd mid-stretch, tired.

Race #9 at Aqueduct… Joy Drive, off at 6/1, broke alertly to assume the attending position while saving ground, stayed in the pocket until the top of the lane and charged up the inside, but could not match strides with the winner, while much the 2nd best, holding the Place and converting the saver exacta!

Aqueduct spring meet has arrived and it’s already one we like so much.  The Turf racing will add additional competition and spice up the daily card.  So it’s time to get back into NYRA racing as we go through this month and “prep” for Belmont.

Talking Kentucky Derby:

With the absence of Big Mac and The Bolt seeming to struggle in the late stages of his race with Justify the feel of the upcoming KD has started to shift more than just a little bit.   The list I am keeping has “shrunk” dramatically and it’s getting more ordered now.  Before I was simply putting up horses with their best figure…  while that remains the same, you can see I have dropped The Bolt a few pegs, because he keeps coming up short of his own 2 year old accomplishments.  Of course, I know there will be a full field of 20 – most likely – this list is now only 9 deep… but it will change some more after the Ark and the Lex…
