We now have 3 days of racing at Gulfstream Park, and many people want to judge my ability at Gulfstream Park, of which I enjoy doing… but let’s just look at the facts to date… of course this is just for Jan1,2,3… but here they are…
STAR horses Total 15… winners 4 (total wins $55.70), 2 Place… ROI = $1.86 per $1.00 wagered…
My point, while this is a very small sample, I want you to have confidence.
Gulfstream Bias on Thursday:
Thursday at Gulfstream Park, made me suspicious of the rail being dead, but then Botero indicated the rail was fine. Once again, Gulfstream is proving to be a very honest strip in 2019.
Aqueduct and Santa Anita for Friday…
I am liking both cards again. While New York has some smallish fields, there are still several horses that have an attractive look and sporting a decent M/L. Don’t be a snob about the field size or the winter feel, it’s a great place to build your bankroll. Even small fields can produce very sizeable payoffs, relative to their FREQUENCY. Some the the Trifecta boxes in smallish 5 and 6 horse fields can easily get you 2/1 – and very often when evaluating this type of payoff, I have come to realize that the chances of losing were pretty slim. I almost feel like I can get 2/1 on Rams over the Raiders without having to “give points”! Don’t be a snob and go for the money…
Santa Anita on Friday is a really nice little card. I have a Featured Play in the opening race and if that horse wins, well “Katy bar the door” whatever that means, but I think it’s really good…
