Vegas – STRONG!!!

Just in case you didn’t know, my Featured Play at Santa Anita that won, paying $21.20… and hit the exacta — this play was given out on Race Day Las Vegas…  We made the point, the other day, that we are not interested in the RIDICULOUS BEST BET that pays $4.40 to win, or some such number…  and that’s the Point of the Pop Out Key (which a Featured Play should be) — it’s a play that has real handicapping ideas and value on the front board!…  We have been on fire and the heat continued on Friday…

Race Day Plays from This Week…

Thursday

At Belmont we had two plays, the first was Magicianh’s Vanity, the only magic this horse had was to make our money disappear.  One caveat, it was bet down to EVEN money, which should have discouraged our play… On the  next play, we had my Featured Play of the day, Thenameescapesme in the 6th, who ran every step of the way, getting 3rd money, beaten for the win by 3 inches!  At more than 20/1.  Jockey Reyes gave a stirring ride and nearly pulled off the huge upset… This was a photo that looked like we were the PLACE horse at first blush, but after seeing the slo mo, we could see we were actually 3rd.  This was both a bad beat but a terrific play…

Friday

AT Belmont, we were on Monster Bea – Featured Play in the 8th, who rated too far back for too long, but came home nicely.  Off at 9/1, this one managed a 4th place finish.  To my eye, we are one early on the Monster… 

Then at Santa Anita, the selection, Warm Endowment in the 5th – another Featured Play.  This one rated well, while staying in contact without effort, when asked to move, she moved and it was just a matter of her finding racing room.  Once she found a lane, she passed everyone pretty easily… The winning mutual was $21.20 and we took down the exacta!

Vegas – STRONG!!!

We two very solid cards again, with some high priced Pop Out Keys… we almost hit a home run with yesterday’s Featured Play!  One of the big- big – big differences is we don’t have Best Bets that are priced at 3/2 or under… if you want to be touted on those types of plays, we are probably the wrong product for you.  If you want to get pointed toward horses that are solid value proposition — well then we are exactly the right product.
