This years Travers, with an amazing lineup.  Always Dreaming – The Kentucky Derby and Florida Derby  winner, Cloud Computing – the Preakness Winner, Tapwrit – The Belmont Winner, Girvin — The Haskell (and Louisiana Derby Winner), Irap — The Blue Grass winner and a very and of course the Jim Dandy winner in Good Samaritan with nice compliment of others who actually figure somewhere in the mix.

There are none in this field that have put up speed figures that compare with Nyquist, Exaggerator, and of course Arrogate from the previous year or for that matter any of the past several years.  There are two exceptions to this speed figure comment a) Always Dreaming ran a superior number on the Slop in Kentucky and b) Good Samaritan has run first class races on the Turf.

In the Jim Dandy, Good  Samaritan dispatched the rest without breaking a sweat, but he will have to do more with these, he has plenty of ability – so we will see if he can up his Dirt game.  Girvin was looking pretty good when he seemed to have trouble in the KD.  His race at Monmouth in winning the  Haskell was visually impressive, but it wasn’t a very big speed figure…  but it may well be on the way to a big speed figure…

Anyway, this is really interesting and we are all hoping that this group of 3 year old colts begin to develop…  Right now, the top of the division looks like Tapwrit and , Good Samaritan with some maybes on  Girvin and West Coast and hopefully a rebounding Always Dreaming…

Today’s Race Day Plays

Our plays were both pretty good, Barbarossa ran a solid 2nd, while at odds of 5/2 and Boss Move was a WINNER and a true single at an overlay price of 8/5  ( if you are of the same mind as me, that Singles are basically 3/5 types — so 8/5 against 3/5 is a terrific overlay — think on it!)

STAR Horses returns $1.55 per “$1.00 wagered at both Saratoga and Del Mar…this year – 2017…

Star horses have been the one of the hallmarks of the Jerry J’s Power Page’s and the PLUS since I started publishing in 1998.  When I started publishing, I talked about finding slower horses that were on the improve and betting them against the faster horses who were ready to go backward.  When I thought I had located a STAR horse… I put a STAR on that horse for my players’ to consider… Since then the makeup of the STAR group has changed some… as horse racing has changed, to my eye…And part of the “old star horse group” has been segregated into the “V” horse.  So now there are two designations…

But let’s get back  to the STAR horses… Last Year (2016) at Del Mar and Saratoga I published a total of 213 STAR horses, together they returned a whopping ROI of $1.44 per $1.00 wagered.  Another way to understand ROI is that you made 44 cents on every dollar you made if you bet every STAR horse on the meets.  That’s right… on 213 total STAR horses in the two difficult Summer meets, the Return on Invested Dollars was a profitable 44 cents on every dollar played.

So now we are in 2017 and we are deep into the meets… and of course the question is… how is Jerry doing lately… Like these two difficult meets?  The answer is AMAZING!  Since the beginning of Del Mar and Saratoga for 2017 there have been 192 STAR horses, costing at $2.00 per play a$384.00 and getting a TOTAL Return of $595.00 for an ROI of $1.55 per $1.00 wagered…

I would have bet dollars to donuts that I couldn’t top last year… but I might lose that wager, while you will WIN!  It’s pretty clear there will be more STAR horses this year than last, so there was not holding back, trying to walk the line… It was full out and full on, and the results is fantastic!

I am starting to accumulate my data on the the V horses and other categories… so don’t be surprised to see more outstanding results…

PS… Did anyone notice yesterday’s E-mail from a very satisfied customer who hit the Pick 6 for $192 on Saturday at Del Mar for 20dimes?
