Friday’s (3-17-2017) Power Page and PLUS for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

Here are my current numbers for a series of KD Contenders, as if they were going to run a 1 1/16 tomorrow…  many changes for certain… bye bye to Mastery, Gormley, Iliad and American Anthem…

McCraken              78.5 *

Unique Bella          78.0

Tapwrit                    783

One Liner                77.3

Classic Empire       76.5

J Boys Echo           76.0

Royal Mo                75.8

Girvin                      75.5

Gunnevera             73.5

Practical Joke        73.5

Notice in this listing, I have rated on McCraken as STAR horse. Also note, Classic Empire ran a 77.8 as a 2 year old and is the only horse with a rating below his best 2 year old effort.  We will have to see how he comes back from his abscess injury.

Daily Bias Report…

Aqueduct …(3-16-2017)   no racing

Santa Anita (3-16-2017) HONEST

Race Day Las Vegas Section

Thursday  3-16-2017

Santa Anita  Race #2 Smuggler’s Union off at 2/1…  took hold early but ran along showing great comfort, dropped down to the inside, took advantage of the big opening and raced on to an open length victory… there was some bumping going on behind him, but he seemed much the best to my eye… Winner paying $6.40… Late gate scratch on the #2. — No exacta.

Gulfstream Park Race #5 Major Key off at 6/1 slow early, then moved up nicely along the rail, seemed to encounter some minor difficulties, due in part to weak handling – in my opinion, swung outside in deep stretch and finished evenly. Maybe needed this race… or maybe not…

Daily Bias Report…

Aqueduct …(3-14-2017) thru (3-16-2017)  Basically Honest

Santa Anita (3-15-2017)  STRONG INSIDE, speed was certainly okay, but closers could do if they were on the rail…

Santa Anita (3-14-2017) and (3-16-2017) just plain HONEST

Race Day Las Vegas Section

Thursday  3-9-2017

Santa Anita  Race #7 Battle of Midway off at 9/5… surprisingly took hold and raced wide around the first turn, went wide on the far turn, showed some acceleration to open a clear lead then held well late while under urging.

Gulfstream Park Race #8  Veil off at 9/2 slow early, had mild gain late, never threatening…

Aqueduct (3-10-2017)  Lucky Lotto off at 2/1, produced a solid late run but was only 2nd best in securing the PLACE.  Made the exacta…

Santa Anita (3-10-2017) Hillhouse High was even throughout, might be sharper next out.

Aqueduct (3-11-2017)  Proletariat off at 9/2 taken hold, to rate a couple of lengths off the leaders, moved up on the rail, poked his nose in front at the 3/16th pole, was outdueled while securing the PLACE, made the exacta.

Santa Anita (3-11-2017) Iliad off at 5/2, moved up 3 wide to attend pace, moved up to engage Mastery on the far turn, while still racing on the outside, started to give way near the end of the turn, and continued along, while appearing very, very tired… Held the PLACE, and converted the exacta (of course)… I would not be following this horse back …

Aqueduct (3-12-2017)  American Road… finished out…

Santa Anita (3-12-2017)  Race #4 Glacier off at 2/1 a winner paying $6.40, 2nd play – Race #8 Louden Grey 8/1, finished off the board…
