Santa Anita Race #4 Nuke Laloosh  Off at 8/5  ran in contentions for the early part of the race, but had no punch when the real running… finished off the board…

Friday 2-10

Aqueduct  Race #3  Midnight Bounty off at 3/2… sat chilly – 2nd on the rail,  moved out and took charge, but full out in Winning… paid $5.00 (okay price in short field)

Santa Anita  Race #1 Nine Point Nine  off at 9/1 … ran along, not sufficient interest to consider this a decent play.

Saturday 2-11

Aqueduct  Global Positioning off at 3/1… ran as if he “bounced”, dull effort.

Santa Anita  Race #8 The Party Factor off at 8/1… took to the early challenge, dueled with Aristocratic (the odds on choice), stayed well to the top of the lane, but tired, holding the PLACE in a nice effort.

Sunday 2-12

Aqueduct Race #3 Time Squared off at 9/5  sat in the cat-birds seat, waiting for the right time, mader the winning move and drew clear to win well…paying $5.60

Santa Anita  Race #5  Princess Karen – (scratched) —  But my PRESS HORSE and TOP RATED Miss Sunset – now the  PK has scratched, who was the other half of the uncoupled entry …did win at $14.40 — this play is NOT counted, in my totals…

We saw McCraken run a track record in the Tampa Bad Derby, but maybe Tapwrit was just as good.  Now the big question is how will they do in their next race.  It’s really all about the progression!

McCraken took it easy early, swung out to make his move coming out of the turn and finished very nicely.  While Tapwrit showed early interest and ran some into the lively early pace, then saved ground the balance of the way, needed to wait off heels and move off the rail for some racing room and finished very well, to be clearly matching with McCraken.

They both have their own form cycles and we will have to see how each reacts to this effort, which was a track record performance.  I will have speed figs on Wednesday on Ralph Siroco’s Race Day Las Vegas… so tune in on Wednesday morning…
