Belmont will be pretty sloppy on Saturday, that my best guess. There are a couple of grass races, which I have assumed would be switched to the main track, that might stay on the Turf. So make sure you know the official word on that subject. Now for some ideas you should keep in mind when using the Power Page – especially in races that were originally carded for the turf and have been moved to the main Track. In many cases, a horse has actually raced on a Sloppy or Muddy track, and I can get an indication as to how much forward or backward I will have to move his PPN for a race on the Main Track. But sometimes, a horse has only raced on the Turf and has no races whatsoever on a Main track, let alone a sloppy Main Track. When this is the case, I am simply guessing… But it’s an educated guess… Here is something for you to consider… Turf horse, who are true Turf horses tend to run terribly on Sloppy tracks, but not as bad when the track very tight. The reason for this is simple, these horses tend to have larger and flatter foots, so it’s harder for their hooves to get thru the goo and into the base for firmer footing. Horses with a narrower foot, usually has trouble on the turf, they get too deep into the sod, but do very nicely on the Sloppy going…
And we be rocking at Santa Anita — this has been an exceptional week there as well… YEsterday we had an amazing $12.20 mutual on Moonlight Meeting in the 4th who won off all by himself… But everyone knows this becuase you were listening on Race Day Las Vegas or had the JJPP in your hands…
