Understanding how to use data is part of playing horses successfully. But think about what the data says and how much impact it has. Let’s just say that the TOP RATED horses on the Power Page are a “data set” and we know that if you bet every TOP RATED horses since February you are getting a return of .98 per 1.00 wagered… So we have something that is near enough to break Even, to call TOP RATED horses such. So does that mean we bet them blindly – every single race… OF course NOT. Why would we play horses to just Break Even. But as a large CRUDE Number set, we must take notice of the TOP RATED horses and consider their value before we discard them… IF there is good value in a particular TOP RATED horse, sure you can make that horse a KEY and make a win wager… IT’s not guaranteed to win, but if you have the slightest amount of understanding about horse racing you might find yourself with a chance to win… OF course I cannot guarantee that the future of TOP RATED horses will mirror the past, so it’s a good idea for you to keep track and see how the short term trends are doing…
Also, remember, the RATINGS on the Power Page are slanted toward the more recent form of each horse, so there is plenty of room for you to make your own interpretation… AS I always suggest, change the numbers according to you own handicapping ideas…
