It’s starting to feel like spring as we see the Big 3 years strutting their stuff. Hanson shows up at Aqueduct, with less than stellar form, so last years best Two year Old — BC Juvy Champ — is vulnerable to my eye after a really lackluster performance going 1 mile at Gulfstream Park on 1/29. I can’t say I’m comfortable backing a horse a short money that coughed up an easy and substantial lead in the slop at Gulfstream Park. Let’s face it, the two year olds that run big – winning the BC Juvy have to be held up to microscopic scrutiny and in this case, the form flaws are really BIG. I have a couple of nice STAR horses to consider betting at a price, even though Hanson still is rated on top, but not by enough to play. A definate “bet-Against” for me.
Santa Anita sports the “Big Cap” tomorrow with a really nice race – from my point of view. And in this edition, with the absence of Game On Dude, I have a definate “POP-OUT-KEY” — the play is easy to find as the horse is listed on-top on the Power Page with a STAR…
Ralph gave us a day off on Friday, so there was nothing to report on my continuing selection process — at this moment I am showing a winning ROI of $1.12 per $1.00 wagered on 92 plays this year…Not to shabby!
