11 race card for Sunday – more good racing!
The story of a V horse at 40/1 on Saturday…
This is a Green story, because it could have put you in the Green. While results were pretty decent on Saturday, they turned GREAT in the 9th race, when our “V” horse, Goodbye Brockley off at 40/1 romped home under Fanny O. I love Fanny Olsen and have mentioned that in this space before… but let’s keep that to ourselves!
Now someone could say, that the V didn’t count because the race was an OFF the TURFER. And while I would say, “fair enough”, I would like you to ponder on a few things… 1) I count the V horses in all conditions and situations, no matter if it’s this change or that change! 2) I do the same with MY STAR horses and my other ALERT the “1” or “2”.
So think this thru with me… the “V” is a longshot, that I have an “idea” on maybe better said and “inkling” on who is double digit odds! It’s not a very “precise” idea based upon what is obvious or easily seen, but rather nebulous and based up what can happen in the future, that didn’t happen in the past! This is not easy to do, but one of the great features of the JJPPs.
Actually, it may have been a help to Goodbye Bbrockley that the race moved to the main track, that might have been an advantage to this 4 legged equine athlete! Who really knows…so you ought NOT overthink these… and in this case, Goodbye Brockley rated out very well on the preferred surface… so again I say, maybe the change in surface would turn out to be an advantage – and it did…. To my favorite saying in horse racing… Small Edges at Big Prices is better than Big edges at small prices…
When we consider a 40/1 long shot, and there is an “inkling”, we have to take a deep breath — go ahead and breathe deep right now – and then say Jerry J’s is saying there is a chance!
In the last 3 days… we have had 5 “V” horses from 2 winners at 17/1 & 40/1… 1 place horse at 22/1 and 1 show horse at 25/1… TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THIS KIND OF ACCURACY ON INKLINGS… Even I am impressed and I just did it!
