First and foremost…
Everyone, enjoy this wonderful Holiday Season to the fullest…
Track Bias
At Aqueduct: Very Strong Rail Positive Bias on Saturday… wide moves were going nowhere all day long… all the money actions was on the rail…
At Los Alamitos: I would call it HONEST on Saturday…
A little post racing handicapping. This has been both a great season for me and the Power Page and a difficult one at times. The Power Page has made some great leaps forward, with the introduction of the “V” horse. We had another winner from the “V” group that paid $21.60 in the 3rd at Los Alamitos on Saturday. This particular “V” horse was also the TOP RATED horse, of course I am talking about Dive Down. As I have said over the course of the past many years, TOP RATED horses at 9/2 are very good bets, so here was one that was 9/1 at the close of betting , but with about 5 minutes to post, was nearly 20/1… In the end, it’s all about a horse with a fair chance at a decent price. We had another today in Little Popsie at Aqueduct in the 7th. Little Popsie, popped a big race paying $23.60 to win!
My best play of the day, occurred in the 8th at Aqueduct, with Financial Modeling winning at $9.50 — defeating the Todd Pletcher uncoupled entry of tommy Macho and My Lute, also Kid Cruz was in his rear view mirror. This was another STAR horse. The STAR horses for Saturday produce 1 winner and 1 place out of 7. But this one was my favorite on the card today… I should have offered him up as my Race Day Play, but chose differently…
Race Day Play’s both ran a little early and finished a bit sluggish… Irish Cat looks like he either needs the Turf or the WET or maybe the tough trip off the rail , but he didn’t stride well when he turned for home while looking for the lead… The Love Forever, ran okay, just a bit outclassed by the rail horse, who I was trying to beat, and one other layoff horse that surprised a little – this one was a back classer I wasn’t attracted to…
Enjoy the Holiday and Stay with the Power Page…
