Kentucky Derby reflections…
I will take a day or two to reflect. It’s clear we are entering a new day in horse racing. The Kentucky Derby has always been a roughly run race, without every disqualifying a horse for a “in-race” infraction! Now, for the first time, traditional rules of racing have been applied! I am sure we all have some “twisted” feelings about this, especially for those who were holding tickets on Maximum Security. We all feel you pain! Believe me, because everyone one of us has been there before, but never have we been in that position in the Kentucky Derby.
I suppose it’s a new day, probably because of the publicity about the equine issues that befell us all at Santa Anita this year. And while I promise I will share my view in the upcoming days about a) the stewards decision, b) the maintenance of the track and c) how all the horses performed (most important)… because at the end of the day, it’s about out STARS who we all invest so much in!
So please come back on Tuesday for more of my take on it all…

I am only reporting this fantastic piece of information. It’s my understanding it will be Gulfstream’s 10th and Santa Anita’s 9th… but please double check this info… So while we all might be a little down, now that the KD is over, we have something to get our motor’s going on Sunday at The Station Casino, NYAA online casino and Fiesta Henderson…
Note, the daily Jerry Js Power Page for Santa Anita is always there to help you, as best we can…
