Again, we had the play in the 4th at Aqueduct when my STAR HORSE — Warrior From Above went of at 40/1. This beautiful play ran 2nd by a “diminishing nostril”, AFTER BEING INTERFERED WITH BY THE WINNER! I repeat, being interfered with by the winner! Here is an exact quote from the Equibase Charts — “Warrior From Above saved ground throughout tracking the pace along the rail, angled out around a tiring foe at the quarter pole, was engaged by the rider, angled back in near the three-sixteenth pole, rallied willingly, was put in tight at the eight pole by an errant TINTO (the winner) , continued on regardless fighting through the final eighth tenaciously to just miss!”
You just can’t make this stuff up, when everyone in the world can see what up, except the stewards. Meanwhile, the Power Page still delivered one of the best payoff ever, when the top 4 horses finished in all four of the superfecta positions, for those of you who boxed Warrior from above with the other top 3 horses and the extra STAR horse, you would have received a lovely $1,274.00. For those who made trifecta’s you won a whopping $7,563.00 and for those of you who went after the SUPERFECTA — you harvested an amazing $29,509.00 (all to $2.00 wager).
Saturday’s Bias was still good to be inside, but the track became much more honest after the opening three races. I would call in inside favoring from race 1 to race 3 and Honest thereafter!
