First remember, the Power Page is advanced (massaged) data for you to use in your handicapping — not finished handicapping like a tout-sheet. You should be infusing the PPN’s from the Power Page into your handicapping and then coming up with a contenders list down the (handicapping) line. The key then is that the information you are using is helpful over a reasonable period of time… Try this on for size, if you blindly bet the TOP RATED horse in every race at both Santa Anita and Aqueduct last week, starting on February 28 through March 3 here is what would have happened — you would have bet $148.00 (at $2.00 per race) and won back at total of $166.40…
If you had done the same thing with STAR horses you would have bet a total of $60.00 and won back $100.10…
Of couse you realize the set of races is a pretty good size number in 74 total races and the number of STAR horses for last week was a total of 30 (a pretty nice sized fit and ready list)! It’s seems like it would be easier to win at horse racing if your data set was on plus street when you started instead of -10% like the favorite…
Of course good handicappers should fulfill the title of “good”, by improving the outcome for themselves… Here’s my suggestion – get the Power Pages before you play New York or So. Cal…
