Today, we should consider “Betting Traps”, they come in many different forms. An easy one is a M/L favorite that’s drifting up in price on the front board. That might work at a small track, but at places like Belmont and Santa Anita that’s a definate Betting Trap and a certain way to say goodby to your bankroll. That’s not the same thing as an 8/1 ML that drifts up to 12/1 or higher. That’s just a horse that got lost in betting excitement…
