Belmont has been handicapped for Wet conditions and all races have been handicapped for the Main Track, as I expect rain to continue on through tomorrow.
Santa Anita is as always – lovely.
Talking Preakness –
Friday – May 18 – at 11:30 AM at Virgin River Race Book in Mesquite
Reprint -> This race was a DOOOOSSSSYYYYY! As I said on Race Day, the early fractions were the kind of fractions run by Seattle Slew in 1977. I would say, this was even faster than the fractions run by Nyquist. While at first glance the numbers seem similar, but once you factor in how slow the track was, this would “adjust” not only the final figs, but the internal fractions as well.
When we reviewed the Kentucky Derby we had a “herd” of fantastic 3-year old colts, while the Preakness Stakes has just two. But we have seen all season long, colts arriving on to the scene, producing fantastic races. So we will have to look deep and look long and see if we can find another horse that is ready to step up to these two “monsters”, with the best trainers in the game…
Below are the actual Figs, that the top 3 ran on my Jerry J’s Fabulous Figs.
The Kentucky Figs!
