It was a light day for STAR horses, but there was plenty of good runs from top rated horses.  At both Aqueduct and Hollywood, the top rated horse ran either first or 2nd in 12 of the 17 carded races.  Mostly chalky chalk, so no big deal there, but it is good to know that in none competitive situations, that our figures hold up extremely well.   There were a host of races in which the exacta was solved from our top 3 rated horses!   It’s results like this, that make it important to understand the figures you are using and to use those figures correctly.   It’s still, almost never correct, to be betting on the favorite!   But if you have a nice price horse in a small field, it certainly makes great sense to use our top rated horses in your exacta number…
