After wins at Santa Anita on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; my 9/1 Swiss Emperor ran a nice 2nd paying $6.40 to place. This gave me a credit to my running total of $3.20. remember, horses over 4/1 are figured at $1.00 to win and $1.00 to place. This pushes the winnings to $200.70 at a cost of $176.00. That ROI is $1.14 per $1.00 wagered. Last weeks from 8 plays I picked 3 winners and 2 place horses.
Now to briefly discuss my selection in the 9th race at Aqueduct on Saturday. On the radio show, I gave out African Jazz and Miss Mexique as a doubleton. On Race Day, I always force myself to make a single pick, before the races they were about even in the morning line. So it was a 50%-50% decision, or maybe it was a 55% – 45% decision. In real time, with Miss Mexique at 6/1 and African Jazz at Even money, you MUST PLAY Miss Mexique. This is NOT RED-BOARDING, this is COMMON-SENSE. In any situation, when the morning line is similar and your opinion is similar, if the actual odds are crazy long on one, or crazy short on the other, YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR OPINION AND GET THE VALUE!
Big news on Seminars, I will be doing a Kentucky Derby Seminar, once again at Texas Station, with a 6:30 PM start time. As always, Texas will be providing plenty of fun – refreshments and drawings for Austins and other dining spots…
So I hope you will follow this “winner” and come to hear and see us at Texas for this big shindig…
