As I continue to discuss the “Early Speed” notation, there are several things that need to be considered.   Just because a horse can get a lead, that doesn’t mean you will get paid!   Too many handicapper’s spend there energy trying to figure whose going to to front – so what!!!   But early speed is an advantage in the right situation, or in the hands of certain trainers or even jockeys.    They know how to get a horse to relax and carry on – hopefully to the wire…
