Thursday’s Race Day Plays:

Race #8 at Aqueduct — Sonora – off at 10/1 – ran along for 4 furlongs  then started to spin the wheels.  The finish was weak…  the price made the play palatable for me, but it’s never fun when they lose.  A surpriser in Shangala won at “box cars”.

Race #7 at Los Alamitos — Unforgettable U won at the favorite paying only $4.60.  But we couldn’t expect much more.  Unforgettable U was totally rememberable in a total blowout of the weak opposition.  This play was worth the money in my opinion…

Race #8 at Los Alamitos –  Johnny Reb – off at 3/1 — loomed large at the head of the stretch, but wasn’t able to finish it off.  Meanwhile, Okaad came home like Forego in the Marlboro Cup.

Aqueduct should play FAST and hopefully we will have Turf racing on a surface between Yielding and Soft.  I have handicapped all races on the surface they are carded for…  Let’s Hope.

Meanwhile, racing resumed at Los Alamitos and I thought the card played well — the races were exciting.  We had several good value plays that were there at the wire, but they didn’t win, so making money depended on how you put the plays together
