Back open for business…
The card at Saratoga has 10 races and Del Mar has their typical 7 race card going for Wednesday. The sudden rain at Saratoga on Saturday, definitely was a bit of a monkey wrench or so we might consider. Prior to that sudden downpour that left the track exposed to heavy rains, because the track super couldn’t get the tractors out to “SEAL” the surface. Prior to that, the main track was playing as perfectly as I have ever seen it play. It was totally honest, giving a slight advantage to off the pace style. At one time I would have classified the track as “slight closer favoring”. I am curious if this will suddenly change now that it’s a few days in the rear view mirror and things have had a chance to settle… So keep your eye open for horses moving good or bad on the rail and evaluate front speed and how it does very closely… We can only tell as it unfolds…
One the West Coast, at Del Mar, the track has been decidedly Speed Favoring and pretty harsh on inside post positions, especially if they show early speed! That’s pretty interesting and it’s been that way to one degree or another through the entire meet. Nothing like consistency to get a big smile out of me.
I am definitely loving the sprint races at Del Mar and focusing much of my $$$$ on those races this week… especially if I see this Bias continuing…
