Star horses dominate at Saratoga !
On opening day, we had 11 STAR horses… producing 3 winners at $22.80, $5.90 and $4.80, plus 2 place horses and 1 Show horse. But maybe the best play was an ALMOST, when Wish Upon at 15/1 took the lead mid-stretch in the 7th, only to be caught in the final 50 yards, to finish either 3rd or 4th. The reason I say this was almost the best play of the day, was due to the “changed condition” that softened the turf course, which may not have been against us. I had thought the FIRM condition was sure to be an advantage, but we lost that condition and lost our advantage. But our STAR horses did produce 3 winner and an return of $33.50 against a $22.00 investment… Okay, with 39 days to go, I like having a positive ROI.

I hope you will play the Saratoga meet ( and Del Mar summer meet ) with your JJPPs. Keep in mind, that over a 20 year period, the STAR horses have returned a winning ROI, with 2017 the ROI exceeded $1.20 per $1.00 played. There really isn’t anything that compares – at least that I have seen.
