“Race Day Las Vegas” Plays
Tuesday’s
At Santa Anita on Tuesday, our two plays were a little disappointing, Hoppertunity ran evenly along the rail in a totally pace-less race. While their appeared to be plenty of early lick, everyone took back. Collected didn’t offer much at anytime of the race – just an extra note
Later on we were taking a shot with Ice Kat in the finale, at big odds. He ran along okay getting beat about 4 lengths… while in a very close photo for 5th, with two others… It was a fair effort – he obviously was in “bounce” mode… we will follow the recovery cycle.
Friday’s
Two mediocre to poor efforts…
Saturday
We selected True Ranger, who went off at 7/1, was about 11/1 as the pools started to close and presto the horses was down to 7/1. Ran along on the wide line, slowly moving up on the leaders, came outside and rallied in mid-track, attacked the leader, but didn’t have the punch to go on by. Held the PLACE in a solid effort!
Sunday’s
Neither play worked out…Sword Fighter ran for awhile and then retreated… Then Be Mine was in perfect position along the inside, but didn’t have any punch and was well beaten while mid-pack…
