Veteran’s appreciation day…
It’s 100 years ago the end of WWI. It’s a long time ago, but it is one of the great examples of our American resolve to fight tyranny around the world…
and we are at Del Mar today…

It’s always fun when we do something pretty good. On Saturday, we had 3 – “V” horses in total. The first (Not That Bradly) ran 2nd at 39/1, the 2nd (Vicar’s Legend) ran out and the 3rd (American Rule) won at 9/1. Certainly, these helped our players have a very nice day at Aqueduct.
Then over at Del Mar, there was a single “V” horse – who ran out. But there were 3 – STAR horses that produced 2-placings and a Win. In the final at Del Mar, our Top 2 rated horses were also both STAR horses and they ran 1st and 2nd for a COLD Exacta, this all in the final race of the day… What could be better!
I am changing my opinion on the bias at Del Mar, to a SLOW RAIL… The track seems honest in all other aspects, but I have seen one horse after another (and in review of Friday’s card) where the horses on the rail seemed to hang badly in the lane. So I am notating that all RAIL Efforts to be upgraded so far… Of course I will keep my eye on the rail going forward…
Always remembering those who have served on our great nation.
