SUNDAY’S (1-27-2013) Power Page, KHSS and EXIT PLAYS for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

With a definate wet track at Santa Anita, horses with the (P) or (p) wet track marks included the following winners – Saticoy &  Rosengold.  In the case of Saticoy he was one of only 2 horses with the (p) rating and there were NO OTHER wet track marks in the race.  Better than that came in the very next race, with Rosengold as the ONLY colt in the race with a (p) rating — I repeat the ONLY one — and he won at a fabulous price of 17/1 and then there was Qiaona who was one of 4 (p) horses and she won at 23/1.   These are fabulous results that well explain several outcomes and gives you an opportunity to consider some of the possibilities.

There was some question as to weather or not that WET track rating I gave to Aqueduct was correct or not.  I was somewhat on the fence, but as I explained on Race Day, that sometimes after it snows, even though the track has been plowed, that horses with WET track notations do better than expected.  For that reason I deduce that somehow moisture gets into the substructure and yields results that are more like those on a WET track.   So in the first race Ganador, the ONLY horse with a wet track mark won — even though his currect form was terrible.  Then the impossible Longshot Ball Perazim showed good speed in the 2nd and Transparant, the only “m” in the 3rd race won by 10 lenghts, but te real margin was more like 20 lengths.   So I think that proved my judgement to be OKAY…  Tomorrow’s, races at Aqueduct will be rated for FAST, but keep your eyes open…
