Catch A Glimpse sparkles at Beautiful Belmont Park!

It was an incredible day of handicapping and racing at Belmont on Saturday.  The absolute Star was Catch A Glimpse who remains undefeated on the Turf in an effort that showed her talent and her courage.  Geroux moved her sharply out of the gate and she responded to command, just as a good race horse does.  Rated along, but posted good splits, so everyone was being asked all along the way, and then opened with a brilliant burst.  There was a wonderful run from Time and Motive who came home like a champion, but Catch A Glimpse was resolute — finishing in front!

There was also a gutsy win by Effinex and a gutsy run for the place by Samraat who hasn’t run a good one in a long-long time. Mubtaahij finished well for a close up 3rd…

The big story on the Saturday,  might be that the RAIL WAS DEAD.  Not just my opinion… others shared that evaluation…

Bias report

Belmont on Saturday (7-16)…  Maine Track -Honest… honestly…  Turf course was honest until the 8th, then turned to Speed favoring due to a rain shower…

Del Mar on Friday (7-16)…  Everything is playing honestly through the opening 4 races…

Race Day Play from  Saturday

Belmont: Race #8  Tapitation… off at 3/1… raced in the pocket behind slow fractions, moved off the rail at the top of the stretch, extended stride, but only gained inches as the speed trip was hard to overcome… note: there were rain showers just before the 8th race and a fresh watering of the turf course, will often turn it to be “speed favoring”.

Del Mar Race #4 Tomasino off at  10/1 took the lead early, raced well to the top of the lane and then folded – sounds a little like yestereday.

Del Mar Race #7  Storm Comin Thru…  raced poorly… not my best…

Total…  Total Winnings  $ 506.60

Total  Cost          $ 476.00
