I thought the racing was phenomenal on Saturday and I could not be prouder of the Power Page’s at both tracks, but one would have to be doubly impressed with the Belmont Power Page which  gave you one of the best plays of the year on Private Zone.  Or Ralph’s Race Day Las Vegas radio show, I pinned the price at 3/2 and this TOP RATED STAR horse with an Early Speed advantage (denoted by the “1” mark) paid a whopping $9.20.  If that was the only play that you made at Belmont for a month, it would have served you perfectly…

A note on Santa Anita this time of year, many of the horses have form from Synthetic tracks only and it’s not always possible to really know which horses form will transfer well to the main track.   The numbers are correct, but they may only really reflect that – this is something you have to deal with when putting your plays together and evaluating odds.   For me, if a horse has never been on an organic Dirt track, you might demand a little bigger premium…
