Thursday’s (2-26-2015) Power Page and KHSS for Aqueduct and Santa Anita are ready for download…

Aqueduct has rescinded the 15 day rule as of March 5th according to a posting on the NYRA web-site.  This is good news as far as I am concerned, because it’s always been the province of the owneer/trainer to make the best decisions on behalf of the  their horses.  To bureaucratically manage the timing of racing and exercise just doesn’t make sense.  However, to provide standards of physical well being, with the 25 length rule and showing an ability to work to at least a minimum standard of 53 seconds for 4 furlongs seems like an excellent idea.  So maybe, New York will come through this mess with a proper set of standards in place.

And the Aqueduct card is a good one.

 

Santa Anita sets up with a series of small heats on Thursday.  I always like these,  I think this is an excellent place to find some “short price overlays” which come in more often because racing luck and stress is slightly reduced in theses smaller heats…  Have fun…
